The Gippsland Boating Coastal Action Plan provides for the long term development of recreational boating in Gippsland. The plan provides a vision for the development of safe and environmentally friendly boating in Gippsland and establishes objectives for management. It sets down principles to guide the further development of policy and identifies significant issues that require further work.

The Gippsland Boating Coastal Action Plan provides an assessment of the condition of current facilities and recommends additional infrastructure and refurbishment where appropriate.
